About this destination
Tenerife’s combination of year-round warm weather, flat resort coastlines, and high-quality hotel infrastructure makes it one of Europe’s strongest accessible beach destinations. The south of the island is almost entirely step-free and accessible.
Costa Adeje
The resort promenade between Playa del Duque and Playa de Fañabé is 3km of smooth, flat, wide boardwalk with zero kerb changes. Beach wheelchair hire is available free of charge from the Playa del Duque lifeguard station.
Siam Park
One of Europe’s best waterparks with accessible changing rooms, pool lifts, and a dedicated accessible area with water-based sensory features. Electric buggies run continuously between levels.
Teide National Park
The summit cable car is accessible for most wheelchair users. The accessible viewpoint at 2,356m is one of the most dramatic in the world and requires no walking whatsoever.
Year-Round Advantage
Tenerife’s average temperature of 22°C year-round means families with children whose conditions are affected by cold or extreme heat can travel any month.
